Project management and assessment to determine restoration potential for an approximately 2.41 acre pond, situated on a 142.70 acre private land. The pond was constructed in the early 1990’s to serve as a recreational area for swimming and fishing. The assessment entailed establishing the existing conditions of the pond and adjacent area; conducting a bathymetric pond survey, collecting water samples; analyzing water samples and data; and determining appropriate restorative techniques. Additionally, a concept layout was designed for enhancing the landscape surrounding the pond, including the addition of beach area and removal of invasive plant species. The larger pond was stocked with a variety of fish including large mouth bass, koi, goldfish, blue gill, grass carp, perch, and minnows.
